Shilpa gets kissed by Gere
New Delhi: She literally took the world by storm following her win in the UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother, and has been in the news for reasons more than one ever since. From talking about India's vastness and diversity to highlighting the increasing problem of HIV/AIDS in India, a cause that she is closely associated with, Shilpa Shetty has done it all.However this time, the actress may receive less of bouquets for talking about HIV/AIDS, and get more brickbats for being kissed by Hollywood actor and AIDS activists Richard Gere.At a function, held as a part of the ongoing Seena Taan Ke campaign by the Truckers Corporation of India Foundation (India's largest surface transport organisation) to reduce unsafe sexual practices among the trucking community, Gere hugged and kissed Shilpa during the event Delhi on Sunday.The act by Gere and Shilpa hasn’t gone down well with most of the Indian audience, and they demand an apology from both the actors.Also present on the show was Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, who joined hands with Gere and Shilpa to instill in truckers a sense of pride in their work, raise their self-esteem and encouraged them to adopt healthy behaviour.

Christina Ricci sent sexy photos to get role
Actress Christina Ricci was so keen to get the role of a promiscuous sexual abuse victim in director Craig Brewer's "Black Snake Moan" that she sent him graphic pictures of herself. According to contactmusic.com, Ricci knew it would be risky to send those kinds of pictures. She says she had to fight hard for the role and her audition went well but the filmmakers were not sure if she could bring out the character's carnal desires.
She said: "My agent started inundating Craig Brewer with photo shoots I had done that are pure sex shots." Ricci had to spend most of the film scantily clad and chained to a radiator and remained half-naked between shots to tap into the psyche of the character.
She modelled herself after Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson while playing the character.
She added: "She (her character) has Britney Spear's hair and Jessica Simpson's inappropriate wardrobe. This is just a microcosmic example of the over-sexualisation of young girls and children.
Even though she is not really a child, she looks like one."

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is no good between the sheets unless she is high on booze or drugs, according to her ex boyfriend Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter."She was a drunken prude who as far as I can see did not really like sex. She relied on drugs and drink to give her confidence in the bedroom and was more often than not too wasted to even perform. I lost count of the nights I had to pick her off the floor and drag her to bed passed out," he was quoted by the Newsoftheworld, as saying.
He claimed she was so hooked on the drug she'd even smuggle it on to aeroplanes in Teddy Bears.
"If she was going overseas she'd cut a hole in her teddy and stuff it with cannabis," he said. She had to have her own private stash with her at all times regardless of the consequences," he added.
But Nick admits the first time he clapped eyes on the 25-year-old hotel heiress- best known for appearing in an explicit sex tape with another ex Rick Saloman - he thought she was anything but shy.
"She made it clear she wanted to have sex and couldn't keep her hands off me," he said.
"At the start she loved to tease me by saying she wasn't wearing any pants. But because I know Paris is used to getting what she wants when she wants, I was determined to make her wait, which drove her wild with desire.

Looks like Britney Spears is following in Eva Longoria’s heels by reportedly having fallen hard and fast for basket player Luke Walton.
And if the reports are true, then it seems that Spears will soon be shopping for a lot of high-heeled shoes, for at 6ft 8ins, the LA Lakers forward stands more than a foot higher than her 5ft 4ins singer.
A source revealed that her new beau was one of the reasons the singer has been spotted so often at a Lakers’ game in the recent weeks.
"Britney is certainly sports-mad since dating Luke. She even chants his name when the rest of the fans do. Her face lights up when she sees him do well. She's really fallen for him," the Mirror quoted the source, as saying.
Another insider added that Walton was the perfect man for Spears, for unlike estranged hubby Kevin Federline, he has a solid career, and is a star in his own field with a huge fan following.
"This is just what Britney needs. A careerdriven man to keep her on the straight and narrow - not someone that she has to support. It's early days yet but she's happy," the insider added.
Life has finally been looking up for Spears, for not only has her spate of erratic behaviour stopped ever since her stint at the Promises rehab clinic last month, but she and K-Fed have also reached a divorce settlement agreement wherein she gets to keep the kids, and he gets a paltry 1 million dollars.
